I am succumbing to depression. I know this is the hand of the enemy. I also know 'this too shall pass', but find myself enclosed in sadness. Please pray the clouds will lift and I will be my old self again. Thank you.
I want you to know that I just finished praying for you today and will continue to pray for your regularly. This sadness can sometimes descend on us through life's circumstances that we never expected to find ourselves in. Cling to Jesus as never before. I, too, have had to do that in the midst of a sorrow I had never before experienced. I waited to become my old self again but somehow I suspect that the Lord, through His infinite grace and mercy, is changing me forever. He is moulding me through my suffering. He will mould you through your suffering too, as you cling to Him and seek Him. When you have come through the valley, you will be as gold-different and more in the image and likeness of Jesus.
"And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast." 1 Peter 5:10
